Last Gasp

It started in the night with no warning, to us anyway.
We awoke to a world of white in almost white out conditions.
The world once more silent and cold.
The wet blanket lay heavy upon our world, the wet white falling so fast and thick
at times it seemed as if we were the only ones left.
I look out today and wonder how the branches could survive with such heavy coatings on them, they lay against the trees almost pointing to the ground and yet they stay covered in the wet cold snow.
I hope this is the last gasp of winter.

Numbers

Not a poem  which is a little different but good news my numbers are down. I have had two days which each had a number under two hundred which is really good.

Spring

Yesterday it was cold and white and everything was frozen with just bits of brown showing through. I woke this morning to the tapping of rain on my window, the frost was gone and so was the snow, it's all wet and green below. the grass has sprouted though the trees aren't budding yet, the birds have been singing and oh it's so nice  and wet out there
